Scheduling Assistant for Outlook Mobile for iOS Now Available

A scheduling assistant has been released for Outlook for iOS that’s inspired by the desktop Outlook version to make it easier to organize events with colleagues. In the new scheduling experience, users will be able to see coworkers’ schedules in real-time in order to create events at a time that works for everyone.When you create an event in the calendar that is in the Outlook mobile app, you will be able to select coworkers from the “People” field and there will be a date picker. The day will appear in white if the selected date works for everyone. The day will appear in yellow if the selected date has a few time slots that are free for everyone. If no one is available, the day will appear red. Once you find a date that works for everyone, you will be brought to the time picker where you can drag and drop the meeting in different time slots to find a suitable time. If the time slot is red, that means no one is available. If the time slot is green, that means it is a time slot that works for everyone.

In order to use this feature, you need to be connected to Office 365 or the latest version of Exchange. You also must be using the Outlook for iOS app instead of the native calendar app that is on your iOS device. This new scheduling assistant will soon be available for Android and Windows 10 mobile devices.
