Microsoft Whiteboard App Available Free for Windows 10

Microsoft Whiteboard app display

On July 12th, Microsoft announced the general availability of their Whiteboard app for Windows 10. Microsoft’s digital Whiteboard provides a freeform canvas for real time creation of ideas in the form of text, tables, and images.  You can draw on it, type on it, or add images from other sources.  The Whiteboard app allows you to share your ideas naturally, being designed for digital pen, touch and keyboard.   Digital sticky notes can be used to organize ideas.  You can stack things up and move them around.  Since the canvas expands as needed, you’ll never run out of space.

Groups can gather around a large touchscreen in the same room to work on the Whiteboard or work together on their own devices from around the world.  You can keep track of who is making changes on the Whiteboard using avatars on the canvas, representing each member.

Whiteboard app creations are saved automatically to the Microsoft cloud and you can resume where you left off at any time, from anywhere.

Here is a short demonstration of Whiteboard:

To start using Whiteboard on your Windows 10 device, download the app for free at the Microsoft Store and log in with your Microsoft account (Outlook, Hotmail, Live, Xbox, etc.) or Office 365 account (work or school).  The Whiteboard app will be coming soon to iOS devices and will be accessible from other devices via the Whiteboard web client (preview).
