Early in 2020, Microsoft introduced a voice over IP (VoIP) phone system as an add-on to Microsoft Teams. This add-on is available with Microsoft 365 plans that include Teams. Microsoft Teams has become a critical application in use by many organizations during this pandemic, work-from-home era. Audio Conferencing provides you with a dial-in number for all your on-line Teams meetings. Participants can call into a meeting rather than use a computer or external microphone.

The system is managed through the Office 365 admin console.

A status indicator lets others know whether you’re on a call, available or out of the office.
