Google Maps is equipped with many real-time navigation features that makes driving easier such as live traffic conditions and alternative routes. In future updates of Google Maps, it will let you know how hard it will be to find parking once you arrive at your destination. This will come in handy, particularly if you’re driving to somewhere new that is located in a dense city where parking is limited.
When you are finding directions to a specific destination on Google Maps, there will be a parking availability indicator with a “P” symbol that appears next to the estimated driving time. Google Maps will use three levels of parking availability: easy, medium, and limited. The descriptions do not provide real-time indicators, but are based on historical data on the parking area’s typical availability.
